I founded the Cherokee web server project because I knew it was possible to write 'a better web server'.
At that time, I felt that the current Free Software servers were either bulky or very small and quite limited.
So, even though it was going to be require an immense amount of work and effort, I made the decision of starting a new web server from scratch.

After a few years working really hard toward our final goal, we have already reached our most important milestones. Cherokee is very easy to use (you are not even required to edit a configuration file), feature rich, and as a matter of fact,
the fastest web server nowadays.

For me, today is a very happy day. I'm delighted to see that the Polish Cherokee community is being born.
It means that many people will be able to use Cherokee in a easier way, and that's wonderful. But, you know what? I'm fell a little shame though. As a native Spanish speaker, I realize that you guys have done a much better job by localizing Cherokee to Polish than what we have done. You rock big time! Congratulations! :-)
